The end of the year is fast approaching, and with it brings the start of summer. For the past nine years, the unofficial kick starter to the season has been the Cape Town Festival of Beer. This year we celebrate a milestone as we celebrate 10 years since the first festival in 2009.
Event founder and organiser, Martin Tucker, has been at the helm of this massive event since its inception, and has done an amazing job weathering the many storms to make it a decade of beer fests in the mother city.
Tucker explains, “This year will be our biggest and best Festival of Beer yet, we have been around for a decade, something not all festivals manage to achieve and this year we will be celebrating it in true beer style. Families, friends, kids and adults – there is something for everyone on this special anniversary weekend. We are planning to have comedians, DJ’s, great food and of course an incredible selection of brews for you to choose from.”
